SEIT Services
Service Description
Key Services: Individualized Support: SEIT services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. The itinerant teacher works one-on-one with the child to provide targeted instruction and support. Developmental Areas: SEIT services focus on various developmental areas, including cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development. The goal is to help the child progress in these areas and reach their full potential. Inclusive Approach: SEIT services promote inclusion by supporting children with disabilities in regular early childhood settings to the maximum extent appropriate. Collaboration: SEIT teachers collaborate with parents, early childhood educators, and other professionals in the child's care to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to their development and learning. Home-Based Services: SEIT services can be provided in various settings, including the child's home, a daycare center, or a preschool program, depending on the child's needs and goals. IEP Implementation: SEIT services are typically part of a child's Individualized Education Program (IEP), which outlines specific goals and services to support the child's learning and development. Monitoring and Progress Reporting: SEIT teachers monitor the child's progress regularly and provide progress reports to parents and other team members to track the child's development and adjust services as needed.
